Hi! Many thanks - but I have done this ( changed the language to UK) and am still experiencing this problem! ( Unable to select pound sign and the @ key is at no. 2!)
Is your keyboard still set to USA - which is sometimes the default on a windows installation? Check in the region and keyboard ares in Control Panel

may help you get it all set to UK...; especially the second link
Are you sure you have specifically changed the keyboard layout? This is not the same as changing the language. From your question it seems clear that you have not. (BTW, don't create a new thread for an answer - stick to the one thread as it's less confusing to read.)
Good point to make/clarify…
In future please continue with your orginal post rather than starting a new one. One might get removed. I've put my response on both threads. Where are you when you get this? If you are in Word or Excel for example you will have to change the language there too.
Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanksmessage edited by Derek
