Im having problems with windows 8 install

Specs: windows 8
I just tried to install windows 8 from windows xp. As I was going through the install everything was fine until I had to restart the computer. Once restarted I received and error code of 0x0000005D. If anyone can help me with what this means and how to fix it, I would greatly appreciate it

What is the make/model of you workstation/laptop and CPU?

The reason I ask is Windows 8 requires a processor compatible with the following functions: SSE2, PAE and NX bit. All Pentium 4 are compatible with SSE2 and EAP: the problem may come from the NX bit.

Make sure your Pentium 4 model supports the NX bit: for sockets 423 or 478 processors, then it won't work (in most cases).
Also make sure that NX bit is not disabled in the BIOS (if present).

You didn't post the make/model of your computer or any specs, but like the others have suggested, I suspect it's an older system. Even if you get the CPU/BIOS settings issues straightened out, do you have enough memory? At least 2GB RAM (minimum)?
