Solved Identify icons on laptop

Specs: Windows 64, dell
I have a monitor and plug icon at bottom of my dell laptop and cant get internet on many things like downloads, email, etc. I cant get the icon to do anything an I have used all of my troubleshooters they all say there is no problem detected I cant get the icon off my laptop. I want to email and use the internet

Did you try hovering your mouse pointer over the icons or right clicking on them? The "monitor and plug" icon is for the network connection, why do you want to get rid of it? It can be removed but I wouldn't advise it, it's not going to solve anything.

If you're having internet connectivity issues, we're going to need some info to be able to help. What is the model/model number of your laptop? Are you connecting to the internet wirelessly or have you plugged in an ethernet cable? Which browser are you using - Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, etc?
