Specs: Windows 8.1, I5
My windows 8.1 laptop came with Pokki already installed but I don't have the old school start menu feature. I tried searching on my PC but cannot find the pokki program. I tried downloading it and it says that it is already installed. I want to make the Pokki use the old school start menu.

Yea I did a google search which displays millions of unrelated links to my problem. I cannot access Pokki and change the start menu. Those links just tell you to install Pokki and everything will be fine.

On the opening screen of Win 8 (the one with the large icons) there is a downward pointing arrow at the bottom. Click this and it will take you to a page where all istalled programmes are shown. It should be in "Apps", if not, use the search button in the top RH corner

There are unlikely to be any (or many) helpers on here that use Pokki. In which case you might get better results if you contact their support, which includes a forum:
http://support.pokki.com/
In the past there seem to have been issues with Pokki so maybe this is a bug too.

It looks like MS are going to re-introduce a start menu, possibly as early as August.
This will include Apps (a good bit like Pokki). In the meantime you could do this, which would help a little:
Right click on the taskbar, then under "Toolbars" select "New toolbar...".
In the "Choose a folder" Window at the bottom, paste this path:

%ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

Hit "Select Folder" button at bottom and you will then have a WinXP-like start menu by single left or right clicking the two little arrows on the taskbar.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
