Specs: Windows 8.1
I have recently bought an ACER desktop computer with windows 8.1. I have an HP Officejet 6310 All in One that I was using with previous Vista. How can I get scan to work since I have no 8.1 software to insert? HP says "No scan options" Refer to device documentation to troubleshoot. Thank you.

Yes, I downloaded the driver & the 2 utilities but hp still says no scan options when I press the "scan to" button.

As long as you downloaded Win 8.1 (32 bit or 64 bit as appropriate) I would have expected it to work. I assume you tried restarting the computer.

Unless you can see any errors showing in Device Manager I can't think of anything more to suggest at this stage.

I did download as instructed & restarted computer. Today I was trying to figure out what i was doing wrong when it occurred to me I had to allow HP to make the change on the computer before it actually installed it. DUH! It's working perfectly now. Thanks so much!
