how to uninstall Microsoft Internet Explorer 11

Specs: Windows 8.1
I want to delete MS Explorer 11 so I can do a clean install. I'm signed on as administrator but W8 does not seem to recognise me as such and tells me i need administrator permission to delete the files

IE is embedded inside the software code of Windows so a) it can only be disabled not permanently uninstalled and b) since it is embedded inside the software code of Windows doing a clean install of Windows will automatically install a fresh copy of IE.

Go ahead, back everything up, and do your clean install. Problem will already be solved.

Please don't listen to the above.

Win8 ships with IE10. If you completely wipe the HDD (or partition) & do a clean install, you will be back to Win8 with IE10 again. Then all you'll have to do is prevent Windows Update from re-installing IE11. To reinstall Win8, you'll need to boot off the DVD or use the Recovery partition.

If I'm misunderstanding & all you want to do is remove IE11 & roll back to IE10, see the following:

Thanks for the replies.
An app was installed that I did not want and I have managed to disable it.
