How to fix laptop that only Charges battery to 80%

Specs: Windows 8
•Shut down the laptop
•Power the unit on again and press the F2 (If F2 doesn't give you these options - Start over and press F4 not F2) key as soon as the unit switches on
•You will then be in the BIOS settings
•Using the arrow keys move to the advanced tab on the top
•Under advanced using the arrow keys again move to battery life extender option
•Press the enter key and change it to disabled
•Once this is done press F10 to save and exit

Not all brands/models have the same BIOS options. These instructions are specific to certain Samsung laptops. That should have been stated in your explanation. It also should have been posted in the "how-to" section.

i have the same problem now.haven't solved it yet.this link may be helpful but it is about windows xp. i'm not sure whether it can be applied in windows 8.

Changing the BIOS configuration has nothing to do with the operating system. It is neither about XP or Windows 8.
