Solved How to Download HP Dynamic Protection

September 18, 2016 at 09:38:57
Specs: Windows 64, 2.90ghz/400gb
I am currently only able to access the HP Computer Setup screen, and can not reboot with out downloading HP Dynamic Protection. Just not sure how exactly to do that. Aslo, the computer is asking for a operating system. I have one, but when my fiancé decided to restore the laptop to original settings, it kept all the system information, just not the operating system. One last thing, I am stuck like I said in the HP Computer Support and only was to get out is to do a reboot, but it is also telling me to use Ctrl 1Prompt to select HP Dynamic Protection. Anyone Help!!

I'm not sure how this 'hp dynamic protection' complicates things but if you restored it to 'original settings' then it ought to be booting OK and not asking for an OS. If it's not doing that then I suggest you try again. If you're using disks to do the restore then the dvd drive needs to be first in the boot order. When you first turn it on and the logo or posing screen is showing it should tell you which keys to press to open bios setup or change the boot order.

The term "reboot" simply means turning off the computer then putting it on again.
Do you mean "Factory Restore" (or Recovery) perhaps?

Please let us know the computer model number.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

✔ Best Answer
"HP Dynamic Protection" is a BIOS setting, it's not something you download. Go into the BIOS & disable it.
