Solved how to covert chk files to jpeg

Specs: Windows 8
recently i had unknowly missed my photos. i had keept for data recovery for that photos after recovery there was a folder named (found.000) in that there where chk files how to covert them

CHK files are just chunks of lost data that windows has set aside. The person in this thread:

had the same problem. While we had given up on it they persevered and found a solution. Scroll down to their solution in # 23.

I thought that they were junk files too... But that first link I posted, and several others too in a google trawl seem to suggest otherwise; depending on what created them...

That solution (#23) is fascinating to say the least...

Not being entirely clear in my mind as to how the files were "missed" (from which I presume means lost, deleted etc...) I'm also wondering if any of the usual file recovery software often recommended here at CN might get them back; recuva being one that comes to mind, and also easus.

Yeah, it could be his files are 'missed' for some other reason and may not be part of the chk files.

I didn't think chk files could be reassembled but I guess in some cases they can.
