To err is human but to really screw things up, you need a computer!

✔ Best Answer
An alternate name for this is sometimes called "mapping a network drive"

Short cut is if open "computer" down the left you see "Network", you can right click on it and select "map network drive"

What do you do if the network place doesn't appear in the list? I have 2 computers at my office, one Windows 8 and one XP. I also have two XP computers at home. All my XP computers can "see" all the other computers. But the Windows 8 machine can only "see" one of the remote computers and not the other. What do I have to do so the other XP machine appears on the list of potential Network Places in the Windows 8 machine?
