BEG her for the password...do anything she says till you get it. Other than that, contact the manufacturer and be ready to prove ownership of the laptop....we don't know whose laptop it really is and there are no password cracks that will work.

You will probably get spammed with people trying to sell their software but guess what? It will be a waste of money because there is NO software that can crack an administrative password and you can bet dimes to donuts that even trying to use a new HD, you won't even be able to install any OS.

If it's a Windows password, just re install Windows or do a factory restore.

"there is NO software that can crack an administrative password"

I beg to differ, I do it all the time.

'I beg to differ, I do it all the time.' Hmmm....quite interesting! I notice it says for 'valid LOCAL account' ...so you are saying it removes administrator passwords, even on laptops?

I also like this message on that website in question:
<< DANGER WILL ROBINSON!
If password is reset on users that have EFS encrypted files, and the system is XP or newer, all encrypted files for that user will be UNREADABLE! and cannot be recovered unless you remember the old password again If you don't know if you have encrypted files or not, you most likely don't have them. (except maybe on corporate systems) >>

"so you are saying it removes administrator passwords, even on laptops?"

Windows Administrator passwords, yes. And that is what he is asking about.
