did not address the problem on how to get back my shortcuts ( on the desktop window of windows 8 ). Incredimail is already installed on my computer, I just lost the shortcuts to it. I need to know how to get them back.

Thanks - paulscountry

Re #3. There is no "All Programs" in Windows 8. If you left click and drag an exe file to the desktop it will move it there from its rightful place. Mostly programs have dependent files so it is essential to keep the exe (program) file in its proper place, otherwise the program will never run again.

On the above basis you should make a shortcut to the exe file (if you know where to find the exe) and put "that" on the desktop. You right click the exe file then select "Create Shortcut". It will almost certainly ask if you want it on the desktop. If not then just cut and paste the new shortcut there instead. Note that the "exe" part will not show unless you have set to show hidden file extensions in "Control Panel > Folder Options". If there is more than one Incredimail file, the one you want the shortcut to is the one that opens Incredimail when you double left click it.

Alternatively (simpler) you could go to the Start Screen, bring up Apps (Ctrl-Tab), find the program name "Incredimail", right click it and select "Pin to Start". It will then appear on the Start Screen.

It just depends on where you want it or where it used to be.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
