How do I get internet access on my gateway laptop, at school

September 30, 2015 at 22:23:07
Specs: Windows 8
My Gateway laptop will not connect to the internet, or open a terms and conditions page to allow me to use internet access at school. I tried every internet connect possible, that we could use our login information for, and it won't grant me internet access. It says connected, but I usually end up with the google chrome dinosaur game.
I have Norton Security. My laptop is Gateway NE72203h. Model EG70.

My friends all bring their laptops and are able to connect to the internet with no problem. If someone actually has a useful answer to fix this problem, please help.
I also never have a problem with connecting at home, or to other house wifi systems.

Try removing NIS. It may be blocking public WiFi access.

Perhaps your IT Tutor is the best person to ask!

I tried the IT Tutor and my own TA and they didn't know how to fix it. We were able to get to the login page once and then it still said no internet access.

Sometimes when you connect to a companies WiFi, you need to fire up a browser and it takes you to a page where you have to agree to their terms before you can proceed to browse. I have seen issues where Chrome won't load these pages properly. Try connecting to their WiFi again but this time, launch Internet Explorer and see if it pops up with terms agreement page.

Did you tried to turn off Norton Security?
