Solved How do I download photographs from my digital camera

Specs: Windows 7
I am unable to download photos from my digital camera on to my laptop computer, (Compaq CQ58-304SA. I last downloaded some photos in early September but having mislaid my user guide I cannot retrieve the system which enables me to carry out that particular job. Can you help, please.?

Buy a card reader and plug it into a USB port on your computer.
Then remove memory card from your camera and put it into the card reader.

In addition to phil22's suggestion you should be able to just plug the camera directly into your computer via USB cable and pull your pictures off that way. Also you can just google your camera model to download another user guide.

If all else fails plug in the camera and browse it as a disk drive. The pictures are usually in the DCIM folder (digital camera images). File type is almost always jpg, if you are showing extensions - which is a good idea.
