Specs: Windows 8
My print queue will not delete an xps file. I have used delete and cancel. although it says deleting, It has been stuck for 2 days so far. How do I delete this file?

To delete the queue you have to stop the spooler first, as follows:

Press the Windows Logo key+X (or right-click or press and hold off the bottom left corner) and choose Command Prompt/Windows PowerShell (Admin). Now type these commands, which are in capitals for clarity only:

NET STOP SPOOLER and press Enter
DEL %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\SPOOL\PRINTERS\*.* and press Enter
NET START SPOOLER and press Enter
EXIT and press Enter
