How can I download this driver?

Specs: Windows 8
Intel(R)Technology TAP driver NDIS 6.30. Every time I try to download it my malware advises me not to. I evidently need this driver for my trail cam to download pictures.

You posted in the iPad forum.

Don't try to install that specific file. Instead, update your network drivers.

I ran an app called "Driver update" which I ran and the report said all the drivers were current. So I tried to download pictures from my trail cam and got this error message: "This file does not have a program associated with it to perform this action."

NEVER use "driver update" or "driver finder" programs. They are unreliable plus many contain malware, spyware, or adware. I suggest you uninstall the program ASAP & then run a full virus/malware scan. These two programs will detect & remove any malware (both are free):

As for drivers, you should download them directly from the computer manufacturer's website. Or if you're familiar with your computer hardware specs, you might be able to find an even newer driver available at the hardware manufacturer's website. The reason for the possible differences are that computer manufacturers only support their products for a limited time, while hardware manufacturers often support their products for a longer period. This is especially true for graphics.

Please post the make/model/model number of your computer.

Every Pavilion is different. We need to know the model number.
Maybe you can find the drivers yourself:

Here's the system specs:

It has two network "cards", one wired & the other wireless. You'll have to determine what you have so that you can download the correct driver. You should be able to tell by looking in Device Manager. Drivers will be found here:

Below is the warning I received from the first URL.

Whoa! Are you sure you want to go there? may be risky to visit.

After using the second URL my PC ended up with a virus.

DO NOT ever go to third party sites for drivers.

Best Advice: reread #3 and #8 above, ignore the rest.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
