How can i download Sims 2 on my Asus with no cd drive?

Specs: Asus
I recently went to the store and bought an Asus laptop. They told me that they're slowly starting to get rid of CD drives on the side of laptops because everythings an app now. But the Sims 2 isn't an app on the app store and I would really like to play it. Any suggestions?

"slowly starting to get rid of CD drives"
Because thumb/usb drives & usb enclosures are taking their place.

If Sims2 is only available on CD then you need to purchase a CD USB drive and install it from there. There are some inexpensive ones about if you shop around.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Agreed, just purchase a low priced but decent external slim CD/DVD USB drive, plug it in and then install it from there. This way you do not need the optical drive most of the time but you still have it when you do need to install something or burn a disk to share or save.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Handy if you want to play CD's or DVD's on the computer too. I don't think this media is quite dead yet.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
