Specs: Linux
It"s a HP P-7 1510 3rd Gen. Intel Core i3-3220 Processor 8 8Gig DDR 3 1.5 TB HD WINDOWS_8 So, am I past the point of no return? Never been on here so yeah, I"m a novice.
My original problem was failure to connect wirelessly & kinda needed that being disabled.now I don"t know if it will let me get to full recovery w/discs.? How does this site work anyway. I felt lucky to have this mini-tablet laying around unused. I couldn"t even get back into the microsoft site with it. Well, here goes. .....maybe that advanced tools option is within whatever area I!m in.

We try to help folk with computer issues on here.

You seem to have mentioned several things. Seems you had wireless issues and couldn't get onto some MS website. Not really knowing the full background have you considered "System Restore" (rather than full recovery which loses all your own programs and data)? System Restore would require you to be able to run Windows and to choose a date before it went awry.

On Windows 7 and before msconfig should come up instantly. However, it is not used on Win 8. Instead things can be disabled (if that's what you want to do) from "Task Manager > Startup tab". One way to get to Task Manager is to use Ctrl+Alt+Del keys and select it from the list.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
