You can't remove Internet Explorer because it's an integrated part of Windows and it shares it's resources with many Windows tasks.

However, you don't have to use IE, there are far better alternatives, the best (in my view) being Google Chrome:

Your question detail is just a view. I've used IE since Win 95 and still use it. I've never had the troubles you mentioned and neither have thousands of others. Choice of browser is simply personal preference.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

No, you cannot remove Internet Explorer.
No, you do not have to use it. My preferred browser is Firefox.
Many use other browsers including IE without problems.
IE is required for Windows Update and many other things.
IE is useful to download and install your browser of choice, updates and repairs whenever your current browser is having trouble, Windows Update when used manually, and other system tasks.
Let Windows Update continue updating IE even if you never use it since an old version is more vulnerable than the newest version.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
