Are you using Internet Explorer? If so Windows Update should provide Flash updates.

Are you certain these websites are legitimate? There are scams that try to make you install things. Can you give us a link to one that is playing up please?

I am using internet explorer version 11.0.9600.16384. The website is a link from pinecone research for a survey to be done. I have been doing these surveys for many years and now that I bought this new computer with windows 8, flash player will not work on that site.

✔ Best Answer
"does not work on all websites"
From #2 it appears that you are only having trouble with that one website(?).

If that is the case most likely the website have not updated for Win8.1 with IE11 (previously 10). Open the website then go to IE > Tools > "Compatibility View Settings". That will add the website - hopefully it will only be needed temporarily. Note that you have to go to the desktop IE shortcut to do this because MS in their wisdom does not have these options in the Metro version (tiles). If you do it in desktop it also changes it in Metro.

This lack of most of the useful desktop facilities is why I never use the Metro IE version.

Let me know if this does the trick.
