fix COMMDL G.DLL on my LAPTOP. The Ordinal 269 not located.

January 31, 2015 at 04:25:13
Specs: Windows 64
On my SAMSUG Laptop with a Core i7 processor, I get the Info that a File named: COMMDL G.DLL is missing, and Ordinal 269 can not be located in the Dynamic Link Library.
How can I fix this? I live now in Bangkok/Thailand. Thanks in advance,
Manfred Pohl, a very old (86) simple computer user, who has never studied I.T.

Could you recheck that file name please. Should it be commdlg.dll (without the space)?

If you are looking for a really simple solution and it happened recently then try System Restore, to a date just before the problem came along. This is how you do it (Windows 8):

1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, then tap Search.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the top-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, then click Search.)

2. Enter Control Panel in the search box, then tap or click Control Panel.

3. Enter Recovery in the Control Panel search box, then tap or click Recovery.

4. Tap or click Open System Restore, then follow the instructions.

[The above procedure will not remove your own stuff]

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
