Specs: windows 8, 2.793 GHz / 4 gig
Im running 4 windows in firefox - 7% cpu - 1,944 mb - 4 windows is this Normal ?

in taskbar , I just thought it was a bit much

Yes that's normal, a separate icon in the taskbar for each Firefox window (ie each instance of Firefox that's running).

But there is no need to run multiple instances of Firefox, doing that uses more RAM than opening multiple tabs in the same Firefox window. That's the whole point of using a tabbed web browser, you can open new tabs to visit multiple websites instead of opening multiple windows like you had to do before tabbed web browsers came along.

You're using Firefox like it was a very old version (no tabs), there is no need to do that any more!
