Error message when using Bitlord

July 18, 2015 at 00:58:27
Specs: Windows 8
I receive this error message when i load up bitlord " Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) in /home/blsearchfe/blsiscroll/public_scripts/search.php on line 11 "

I have 2 computers i have used it on and it's the same problem with both...so i imagine it's not a settings or pc problem?

Are you using these ports?

http://www.bitlord.com/faq-php/

The official ports for Bittorrent are 6881-6889, but most ISPs block or at least throttle those ports, so users are encouraged to use a port range of something between 49152 and 65535.

I changed it to between 49152 to 65535 John, then restarted and it was exactly the same.

Try right clicking on bitlord.exe & select > Run as Administrator.

I haven't tried that, but i do also use another p2p program called vuze which works fine.
It's just that i usually get much better search results with Bitlord

Uninstall Bitlord with this 2 step uninstaller & then reinstall.

Don't rush the uninstall, be patient.

"I have 2 computers i have used it on and it's the same problem with both"

There are plenty of bittorrent clients available, how about trying another? uTorrent is the most popular. I use that on my Windows systems & Transmission on Linux.
