deleted wireless networks on my windows 8 acer laptop.

June 2, 2014 at 08:43:01
Specs: Windows 8
I accidently uninstalled the "Ethernet" app or some type of app...and can no longer see my networks available. I use a "hot spot" for my internet, so I can not plug in an Ethernet cable to reboot it. I'm using windows 8. What do I need to download so that I can use my internet again? Help!

It's not real clear what you are having problems with. In the title of this post you said you deleted wireless networks but in the body of the post you say you deleted the Ethernet app.

Maybe the best course of action at this point would be to restore your laptop from a point previous to this problem.

One way (of many) to get to the old style System Restore is this:

Hold Windows key and R key down together. Type SystemPropertiesRemote.exe in the Run box that comes up (exactly as written). Go to the System Protection tab and hit the System Restore button.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

But be "very careful you don't inadvertently invoke/run a Factory restore/reset... as that will erase everything on the drive as is - including all your personal "stuff" - as it resets the system back to delivery state.

System Restore is how you go back to an earlier time - and select that "moment in time" (good name for a movie/film...) from a list of "restore points (all dated) - to reset files etc. to how they were then.
