Specs: Windows 8.1 with bing, celeron n2840 / 4G
how do I totally remove deleted photographs (digital pics) from my computer??

I am seeing old photos that were deleted showing up on my photos tile charm icon doo dadd thingamabob

(when I click on the Windows icon on the task bar)

is there a way to find the path to where these "deleted" pics (photographs) are being stored and totally remove them from my computer??

You need to ensure that the actual photo files are deleted (usually jpg files). As often as not they are put in the Pictures folder, unless you specified some other place. Any gallery type programs just reflect the files that are on the system and are not real files. If need be search for the name of one of them and see if it can be found. You should also restart the system in case something gets stuck in the gallery or whatever you call it.

The only time a photo should appear twice is if you have intentionally stored it in two places. In which case a search should find both copies which you can delete. Otherwise if the real file is deleted it should no longer appear anywhere after restart.

If that doesn't help you need to explain what you mean by "doo dadd thingamabob"

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

thanks for the input

but, it didn't work

none of it worked

i had to use command com command prompt and jiggle over to the directory with the file in it and delete the file (name)

eventually my defrag, clean up and more specifically, my erasing of free space (eraser) will delete the actual file, so this will no longer happen

thanks for the input though

i now know something that i did not before

Seems like the file was in that directory then. Whatever, thanks for letting us know and glad to hear you fixed it.
