I can think of two things that can be causing this:\

1) Are you booting from another HDD once in a while? When you boot from another HDD, this tends to mess with the OS's clock.

2) Is your battery on your motherboard almost dead? A dead motherboard battery can also be the cause of this. The battery should look like a big hearing aid battery. You can buy one for about $5 I think.

Hey Incarnadine,
I only boot from the one HD, and this computer is brand new, BUT, that does not mean that the batt cannot be weak. Is there a way to check the power level on this batt.? Also, this computer is on a small home network and I boot up from my other computer occasionally, could that be the prob.........?
