Solved cd burning in windows 8

January 19, 2016 at 12:47:49
Specs: Windows 8.1
I have burned several CD's & they work fine on the computer but some of them won't work in my car. Someone mentioned finalizing the CD. How does one do that? Why would some of the discs work & others not. My car says "bad disc." Appreciate any help.

Are they MP3s or are you converting to CDA? What software are you using? Here's an excellent freebie:

Finalizing is an option that comes with your burner. Usually if you choose the "audio option" they finalize automatically unless you over-ride it.

Burning at a lower speed can sometimes help.

At odd times I have found certain CD brands work better than others in specific situation.

Best not to use CD-RW or CD+RW (re-writeable). Stick to CD-R or CD+R.

The burner suggested in #1 works very well and is simple to use. Better add that the XP in its name is nothing to do with that Windows version. It runs fine in Win 7, 8 and 10.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
