Have you looked in Task Manager to see what it is that is using all the Disk?

It's possible that you have malware. Run these freebies in the order given because they often find and fix what Anti-virus programs miss:

AdwCleaner:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/dow...
(blue Download button near top - not anything else on the page).
Download and "Save" the file somewhere. Go to the saved file then double click it to run the program. Use the "Scan" button, followed by the "Cleaning" button.

Junkware Removal Tool (JRT)
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/dow...
(blue Download button near top - not anything else on the page).
Download and "Save" the file somewhere. Go to the saved file then double click it to run JRT. It might appear to have stopped at times or flash the screen but sit tight until it has finished.

MalwareBytes:
http://filehippo.com/download_malwa...
(green Download button top right - not anything else on the page)
Install and Run the program but before doing its Scan go to "Settings > Detection and Protection" and put a checkmark in "Scan for rootkits". Quarantine anything it finds.

If any of them find anything please copy/paste their logs on here.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

In addition to above:
If you are watching 'video' on your browser you will need to periodically clean out your browser's History, Cookies, etc. These options are in your browser.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

It wouldn't hurt to power cycle your router either. Pull the power cord out for 5 seconds then plug it back in

As per my #1 did you go to Task Manager > Processes > Disk heading and see which of the listed processes are hogging the disk?

Thanks for the logs. Let us have the ADWCleaner log too when you have run it.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

To find ADWCleaner log go to the system root (usually C) and the ADWCleaner folder is right there. The logs are inside the folder.

Also let us know if the video lag is still there.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Looks like JRT and ADWCleaner found quite a bit of browser stuff. Let us know if it made any difference to the video lag, and if the disk usage goes way up againlet us know the situation in Task Manager as per #6 first line.

Note that your computer might not be free of malware yet, but the idea of running JRT & ADW was to get an idea whether malware had any real bearing on your reported problems.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

I have noticed that things are getting smoother with the hard drive usage haven't reached till 100% till now but the video is still lagging.

I use VLC and GOM player to watch any vidoes.

It happens only with saved videos like some downloaded movie mostly with HD quality video.

That seems to eliminate the connection and router.

Just to make sure I understand, when you say "lagging" do you mean the video keeps stopping or is the there a lag between picture and sound?

Run a long video. During which:

1. See if disabling your Anti-virus has any affect on it.

2. In Task Manager see if anything peaks and if so what it is.

Make sure that you have the latest graphics driver from your computer manufacturer.

Look in Device Manager and see if any errors are showing.

Press Windows Key + R. In the run box that appears type dxdiag and hit Enter key. Make sure no problems are showing.

If you are not using an SSD then you might as well run Defrag too.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

I think its fixed i disabled superfetch and window search from services and then i tried watching some movie it was perfect i don't know what these things do but it worked. I did fresh installation of nvidia graphics drivers.

I wouldn't have expected superfetch or windows search to affect videos. SuperFetch is storing data so that programs can start up more quickly next time - not at all intensive. Windows Search is just that, the search feature, so maybe if it was indexing it could have been keeping the system busy for a while.

Graphics drivers would seem the most likely culprit to me.

OK thanks.

Just another little thought, your graphics might allow you to enable or disable hardware acceleration. If so a change in either direction could help:
