Specs: Windows 8
when we power up my sons laptop it goes to "Aptico Setup Utility" and no matter what we do it will not exit from this.
the computer is not that old (2012)
model NP35OV5C
Bios/Micom version P09ABE (though i am not sure what all that info means just thought on the off chance that it might help)

Aptio Setup Utility is another name for BIOS for that laptop (maybe you already know this).

It might be worth asking Samsung about it as it seems to be widely reported but with not much in the way of fixes.

Keep watching though in case someone has run into this personally or has some ideas.

EDIT: Aptio rather than Aptico.

Probably time to suggest something that has been known "at odd times" to unstick things:

Turn off laptop, remove main battery and disconnect laptop from domestic power. Now hold the Power Off/On button for about 30 seconds, which discharges the motherboard. Re-assemble, power on and cross your fingers. At least it is easy to try.

managed to fix it, with a lot of help from a nice man at samsung.
anyway here's "my way" of explaining what to do for anyone who has the same problem.
1. click F9 on keypad, then YES option in the box that comes up then Enter
2. click F10 on keypad, then YES option in the box that comes up then Enter
3. turn the computer off
4. press F4 and hold it down for 5 seconds before turning the power back on KEEPING HOLD OF F4.
5.recovery page should appear after a slight wait(error box may come up first-click x in the corner to close it)if tab does not say recovery at the top, click on the Recovery tab on the left hand side.
6. you should then see a line from the date purchased and onwards.make sure the green arrow/bubble is at the earliest time (basically the time you got it) and then press the RECOVER tab at the bottom.
note:this way does NOT save personal documents and files that are on your computer.so best option would be to call samsung if this is a problem.

then your computer will get you to essentially set it up,choose language, create account,pc name etc.
hope this helps.
