Grrrrrr... Laptop died, I replaced it with a cheap Lenovo, and got stuck with Windows 8. None of the games we've come to expect with Win OS, so I looked for them. Found what looked like the old Freecell on Tom's Guide, and supposedly downloaded it. I wasn't asked where I wanted it put, it didn't go into my Downloads folder, and if it exists on my machine, I can't find it. Of course, with Windows programs, you don't know what the .exe is actually names, so I'm sure I searched for the wrong thing. Now what? I'm working awfully hard to get something that I use when my brain is numb... Help! Thanks,
mh
Play it online, then you've got no problems regarding Windows 8 compatibility:
http://www.123freecell.com/Just make sure you've got Java installed.
Sounds good, and thank you, but I'm usually playing while waiting for something to download. The distraction of the game isn't enough to mitigate the fact that playing it is delaying what I'm actually trying to do. I'm afraid I really do want it local. mh
