Solved Cannot select or move tiles on start screen using touch

September 6, 2013 at 04:12:18
Specs: Windows 8 64Bit, i7 , 4GB
I have the new Sony Vaio Pro 13 laptop and it comes with touch.

Everything seems to work fine apart from one thing. I cannot select or move titles (apps) on the start screen using touch. If I hold a tile the tick will come up briefly and then disappear again. Anyone know what might be causing this?

It works fine if I select or drag using the mouse.

Thanks.

Hi w11184,

Slide the tile you want to change either up or down, and then drag it to a new position.

The link mentioned below may help you with some useful information:

Hi thanks for your help. I know how to move the tiles normally but the problem is that it's not selectable for some reason.

Update: I reset the calibration and it seems to be working again.

"I reset the calibration"

Thanks for info but curious as to what you mean - display resolution perhaps?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
