Solved Can someone help with my Aspire M5

Specs: Linux
I'm having a similar problem. My daughter was watching netflix, after she was done she shut my laptop down, same model as above. When I came home I went to login and it's caught in a loop, a blue screen that tells me my laptop needs to restart and it's gathering information and then will restart, then it goes to the logo screen. It keeps doing that over and over again. The only f button that works is F2. But I have no clue what I'm doing in there. How do I do factory reset if I can't get F10 to work?

Be aware that a "factory reset" will erase all your personal files in the process. So if there's anything you'd like to save/safeguard then it would be wise to check out that process first.

First see if F8 will get you into Advanced Boot Options. If it does, you may have a simpler option that will help you restore without going into a factory restore, therefore saving your data and programs. You would be looking for Repair Options, System Restore or Last Known Good Configuration (if they are still using that designation) or report on what options there are if there are others.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
