Solved BIOS Freeezed After Update

June 20, 2015 at 08:29:58
Specs: Windows 7
I need your assistance on how to fix the issue that I am facing with latest update of my HP Pavilion laptop. I recently updated the BIOS along with the other drivers. All updates were installed perfectly. But there was a problem with the BIOS update.
It updated normally but after the update when I happened to enter the BIOS setting the screen hanged without allowing to make any changes no keys were working and also there was a continuous beep coming.
The BIOS version that it shows is INSYDE F26. I also took a rollback to the earlier version but no issues were resolved.
i also tried downgrading the bios version to f14 from hp official download site.I was told that this would solve the problem but still facing the same problem of beep which is continous with a Freezed BIOS screen.
Please help me with this.

Try a hard reset. Remove the battery, unplug the power adapter, & then hold the power button down for at least 20 seconds. Release, reconnect & see if it will boot. If not, try re-seating the RAM.

What's the exact model number of the laptop?

You say you ". . . recently updated the BIOS along with the other drivers." Did you do that from the HP support page for your model or from one of those 'driver update' sites?

Check the manual for the laptop for beep codes and see if a continuous beep means anything in particular.

No reason to update BIOS on a laptop unless you are experiencing problem that the BIOS update specifically addresses. Make sure that the update came directly from HP site and you enter the correct full version of te model number for the update. When update completes you should reset to defaults in BIOS and then make sure all other setting are correct.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

BIOS updates come with a risk. If not done correctly they can brick the motherboard. They are only needed for very specific things such as installing a different CPU. They should not be treated like any other updates as they actually flash chips on the motherboard.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
