Specs: Windows 64
Windows did an update and changed something in the settings. now I can not get into my facebook and if I do I can only see the left half of the screen. I bought this notebook for a pawn shop and would like to make it my own. how can I reset it to the factory settings??? without a disk (seeing as it has no disk drive)

Provided you can at least access the rest of it - ignoring Facebook (which I think is a good thing to do at any time…) Copy all your personal files ("stuff" you wouldn't wish to lose) to external media - typically DVD. Verify the copies can be accessed OK as well…

As riider points out - you will lose everything on it if you do a reset routine; which is why consider/follow the advice just above - first..

Then consider the reset routine…

What was the update; and have you set any Windows restore points before the time the problem arrived?

Windows Restore points are not the same as a factory reset routine…; and may allow you to get back to where you were before the "update"… - without losing any personal "stuff"...
