Specs: Windows 7
My laptop/tablet it stuck on "Preparing Automatic Repair" loop. Nothing will work in the advanced setting. I can't reset it with out something it calls installation media. I have no idea what that is.

It would help if you gave the actual model number and confirm it is with windows 7… (please).

And why the need to do a repair or similar routine?

Also… if there are files (personal "stuff") that you would like to save (i.e. - not lose when you do a reset to factory state, or risk losing in any "repair" routine...) then post back rather soon(er) than later…

Depending on which model Asus you have.. there may be a way to save all those precious photos, mp3, documents etc. - before you do anything like a reset/repair routine.

✔ Best Answer
Just tap the F9 key at bootup & follow the instructions. All your files & programs will be lost.

And again before any restore/reset routines... Remember that as those routines will wipe your personal files, really consider if you wish to save them first
