am running windows 8. computer wont play a cd, no sound

April 26, 2013 at 17:50:40
Specs: Windows 64
I was able to play a cd or dvd about 3months ago fine. I downloaded a program called www.gom.com When I put the cd in the drive the message come up that I would have to buy this Gom program. It also said onscreen that something was wrong with my settings and/or my computer was running slower. I tried to download and install this newer version of gom but it wouldn't install unless I buy it. Also, when I played the cd there was picture but no sound.

Are you requesting any help from the forum ?

Anyway, can you uninstall the program from Control Panel\Uninstall Programs ?

Is it this player that you have downloaded ? If that is the program, then it should be free.
