I've just tried this on my touchscreen laptop so it should be the same If you tap & hold down an icon, as if you want to move it then drag it down slightly & release it the bottom green bar should appear and a tick should appear on the icon. You can then tap 'uninstall' in the bottom green bar.

Not too sure why you have posted on the Windows 8 forum, but I'm guessing it is an Android tablet, in which case the instructions for uninstalling apps is available in many places if you do a quick Google search - this one for example, from the makers of Android:

Hi,

It's not an android tablet. It's a Windows 8 tablet that's why I'd posted here.....

Fair enough. To uninstall a program in Windows 8 you open search and type 'programs' - select 'programs and features' from the list and that takes you to the standard Windows Uninstall section.

Hi

Yeap, I know that. That's what you do to uninstall programs run on windows. The problem is that the Apps are not listed in there. If I go to control panel, programs and then uninstall programs, the only programs I can delete are the ones run on windows, but the Apps are not there. Looks like the Apps are installed in a different place I cannot find.... It looks to me like the Apps are run from a different platform. I've googled it but I cannot find how to do it. I've tried the app settings option but I cannot see how to uninstall the Apps....

Thanks anyway!!
