Just something I spotted - might be common knowledge.

Mostly Windows 8 will redirect you to its own version of "Microsoft" fixes and deliberations. This can cause confusion if someone using Win 7 has, for example, posted a Fixit link on the XP forum. If you click one when using Win 8 and don't watch the URL change in the top bar it will look as if Win 8 fixes are being suggested in non Win 8 situations.

Here's an example that appeared on the Office Software forum (XP original poster):
http://support.microsoft.com/fixit/

Windows 8 users will be directed to a different website to those using previous operating systems.

It also means that those using Windows 8 might have to use some cunning to find and access MS fixes for earlier operating systems.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Answers.microsoft has down that to me almost everyday, since I started posting there. or they continually send me e-mails that I know I have resolved with their site.
