Zoom Icon on Windows 7 taskbar gone

Specs: Windows 7
i used to have a zoom icon on my taskbar. My system performed an automatic upldate during shutdown and the next time I logged on it was gone. I have been unable to restore the zoom icon.

How do I get the zoom icon back?

In what program?
Note that the easiest zoom for windows in browser and many programs is Control + for zoom in and Control - for zoom out.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Thank you Fingers for responding so quickly. The zoon icon was on my Windows Task bar.I know about the CTL and the mouse wheel, didn't know about the + /.

I really would like to have my icon back.
Thanks again for the feedback, I guess the CTL will have to suffice.
