Specs: Windows XP
I´m Doing a clean Install on my laptop of Win7 from previus Win-XP.

Now I have Win XP and I want to save all my MSN and yahoo data...contact-info and chat-history-log files.

I've few MSN accounts as well as few Yahoo contacts on my computer.

Before I Install Win 7, how do I take a backup of this data ?
After I do a clean Install of Win 7 on my computer, how do I restore my data in Win 7 ?

Is there already some Back-up utility software awalable to do this ?

I know there are few folders that can be copied but I also saw that you may need to edit some registry files....

I have MSN messenger version 14.0.8089.726 and I think I´ll download that version after I install Win7. (this verion seems to be better than upgraded version of MSN).
I also have messenger plus ver 4.9 (very nice).
(Yahoo Messenger

Got a external HD for backups.via USB.

Yes it is compatible, I have already checked with the software from windows you name there. It is actualy a laptop from early 2009. Toshiba Satelite Pro L300

I have also checked that Easy transfer program but it does not say if it will put the files in correct foilders since the personal foilders are diffrent in XP and Win7.
