Using FF for my browser. I keep changing the home page to the one I want. TOOL.....OPTIONS.....GENERAL.
The next time I load the browser the home page is "Jzip search". NOT THE ONE I WANT.

Did your try the other way of the command bar? Click the drop down
pointer next to the little house - Add or change home page or Remove
If the command bar is not showing put a check mark for it.

I had your problem when I tried out an Internet Service for 30 days.
I had to use hijackthis to make a log and I searched the log, found the name I was after and fixed it. It's easy to search by going to the top -
Edit - Find on this page - Find
That removed it from the Registry and allowed me to use a different
Home Page. I did my search after I had the log analyzed. http://hijackthis.de/index.php

I use jzip some and it's also located in the Control Panel - Program and
I don't know if removing it their will solve your problem.
