Specs: Windows 7, Intel Corei3-350M Ram DDRIII 2GB
'' I have a canon MX700 all in one. I have an MSI A6200 laptop (new) I have a belkin router.
I can print from the laptop while the USB cable from the printer is connected to the laptop. I tried connecting the USB cable from the printer to the router. I get the storage icon on the router flashing yellow and a pop up on my laptop screen saying printer is offline. I also lose my connection to the internet at that time although the wwireless icon on the router remains blue and the wireless icon on my laptop shows connected. What can I do?

Thank you,
Charlie

You cannot connect your printer to the router using a USB cable - you need to connect them using an ethernet cable. Once connected you will then have to get the printer manual out to find out how to set it up with its own ip address etc.
