Wireless Keyboard disabled on W7 boot screen

October 25, 2010 at 06:31:45
Specs: Windows 7, i7 920 2.66GHz/Corsair 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz
Right an odd issue this, I am using a wireless USB keyboard (Microsoft Laser6000) and this works fine to boot into the BIOS, all the key's work no problem.

Now for some reason if I need to reset PC without shutting down and I get to the "windows did not shutdown correctly" boot menu with the 30 second countdown, the keyboard is disabled. Can't hit enter to skip the countdown or boot in safe mode.

I have seen this on a friends PC I was fixing the other day and can't figure out whats causing it, and google did not avail me the answer.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Using a Gigabyte EX58-UD3R Mobo.

Wireless keyboards are pretty useless...try new batteries. Better yet, use a wired keyboard, much more reliable
