winlogon.exe - Application Error

Specs: Windows 7
Hello, I am using Windows 7 and when I start my laptop, before to chose the account, I get the error: "winlogon.exe - Application Error
The instruction at 0x012fe729 referenced memory at 0x00000001. The memory could not be written. Click OK to terminate the program". If I click OK, error will show up again. I think this is because of win8 skin pack which I installed and after restart I got error. System restore is not an option (deactivated..). I uninstall the pack in safe mode but the error still present. Any advice to repair, except reinstall win? Thanks!

Do a search for winlogon.exe in the windows folder. Compare to one on Windows 7 install disc or restore/image folder. You may have a bad file.
If you have not installed SP1 for Win7, might give that a go.
