Windows security settings

Specs: Windows 7, 1.5
Hi all
I am trying to put in my cd drive my office CD and i get a pop up window that tells me my internet security settings prevented one or more filles to be opened.

How can i fix this

It sounds like either you have a virus on your machine, or your windows operating system is corrupt. I would recommend hitting "windows key"+ "r" to pull up the run command, then type in "msconfig" to pull up the system configuration window, select the startup tab and then click the "disable all" button. Your machine will now require a reboot, so let it reboot and then i recommend running a virus scan.

Well i have done the above and did not fix the problem. Some CD'S do play but the one i need is the microsoft office one and it will not open. I also have no virus on my computer.

What to do now.

I have tried th CD in both of my CD drives and the same problem

If you are still unable to install the disc, your operating system is most likely corrupted and you need to reload it.

That is waht i did and now everything is in order. This is the second time it hapens i just hope it is not my hard drive going bad. If so i do have 2 other hard drives on my computer can i use another one and reload on another hard drive the image back up.

You definetly can reload your operating system on one of the other hard drives using an operating system disc, however using the image backup on a blank hard drive may or may not work.
