Windows Media Player media file property

Specs: Win 7
In the main library window of WMP, when I right-click on
the header, one of the options is to "Choose columns".
There are about 40 different media file properties listed
such as Title, Composer, Length, and Size. Several of
these are checked in the default WMP (version 12) but
not actually displayed. One such is "Action". It is odd,
maybe unique, in that it cannot be unchecked. I surmise
that if any media in my library had an Action property, it
would unavoidably be displayed.

Can anyone tell me what this "Action" property is?

I'm not sure but I think it may be if you are burning a CD or some other activity that would tie the file and MP up until the activity was done. Also, if you aren't seeing some of the properties that you think you should they may be scrolled off to the right. Try dragging the right end of each displayed property to the left a bit and see if they show up.
