What do you mean by blocked? Was the account used for spam? Can you login? Just abandon the account. Open a new account from another machine, if there is no other way.

The account was not used for spam. Out of the blue one day we received a message that it had been blocked by Microsoft. We cannot log in to the account since then. We cannot receive or send emails. We have made many attempts to satisfy Microsoft to prove ownership of the account. We receive form letters in return which are no help at all in recovering the account.

I will attempt to open a new account on another computer and see if that then is accessible on the computer where the account was originally created.

Thank you for your response...much more helpful than Microsoft!

Maybe you didn't use the account for spam but someone did something. Did you have a password that could be found in the dictionary?

No. It has been 7 years since the password was set. Cannot locate it in my records and certainly cannot remember it that long. Any MSN users... I STRONGLY suggest having this info and your security questions stored where you can ALWAYS get to them!

MSN just might block you next and DO NOT respond to the info they insist you provide!

I am just going to take previous suggestion to abandon the account and move on.
Thanks for your response!
