Specs: Windows 7
Windows can't communicate with the device or resource (primary DNS server)
This is thru a wireless connection that normally works fine but I'm sure I did something when trying to connect to a new network.

Since I'm sure it's a configuration issue and not an actual networking issue, I'm going to move this thread to the Windows 7 forum.

If you have multiple computers in your LAN, I would suggest you open a command prompt window on another, working, computer and on the problem computer and do the following command:

ipconfig /all

(that's "ipconfig" space "/all")

and compare the output. Everything except the IP address should be the same (default gateway, subnet mask, DNS address). If they're not then that will be the root of your issue.

It matters not how straight the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.
