windows 7 wont fully install

Specs: Windows 7, 2.5 intel/3gig2ddr
windows7 wont fully install on my new HDD after havin trouble with vista and oldHDD i bought win7 and new WD HDD 1T all day yesterday it wouldnt load just black screen after post, today i turned it on and it started to load right away BUT it only went as far as copying win files after shut down it would not start again, no mater which F key i press i cant get in i started with the disk in and out,,can anyone help please

Please post any error messages - it's unusual not to get any.

Hi David,

If you have more than one memory stick in the system, try installing the operating system with one memory stick only.

Also, you may try resetting the Bios to default. BIOS menu should open up by taping Delete or F2 while the computer is turning on.

I agree with phil22 that it should generate an error code related to failed installation.

Test your memory with Memtest via bootable CD.
Then test your hard drive with hard drive mfg's utility, also via bootble CD. Run the longest test available.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
