March 29, 2016 at 10:32:53
Specs: Windows 7
there is a RED X over the bars that show internet access. Other devices work. the wireless adapter is working on the other devices.
It worked this morning. System restore to yesterday did not help.
Currently backing everything up. seems to work fine without internet. ran the internet trouble shooter and no luck.

Hi,

You can try these below steps too.

Since Wireless is not working on other devices try this.

1) Turn off Wi Fi and restart the system.
2) Turn on Wi Fi and connect to network.
3) Check the Wi Fi drivers.
4) Disable and Enable Wi Fi network.
5) Check IP and DNS Address.
6) Try to change the Proxy settings from IE.
7) Boot system in Safe Mode with Networking and check for Wi Fi network connection.

Try resetting your router (unplug power cord, wait at least 10 seconds and then plug it back in). This has often worked for me. Also sometimes just restarting your computer will work.

Check Device Manager first too see if it shows any error symbols for a device.
If error is shown, try re-installing the network driver for your computer.

Sometimes just restarting Windows will fix simple network adapter problems.

I've gotta ask - did you try rebooting the system?
